I started my career as an elementary and special education teacher, where I saw firsthand how children thrive when the adults around them are grounded, attuned, and emotionally available. But I also saw how many families were stuck in cycles of reactivity, guilt, and overwhelm—especially when big feelings took over.
That experience lit a fire in me to go deeper. I became a child psychologist to truly understand the why behind behavior—not just in kids, but within the parent-child relationship itself.
Through years of clinical work, I kept hearing the same thing from anxious, growth-minded moms:
“I feel like I’m failing, and I don’t know how to fix it.”
As I moved through my own healing and inner work, I began to see the parent-child relationship not just through the lens of science—but through soul. I realized I didn’t want to stay behind the therapy room door. I wanted to walk alongside moms, offering real-time support, brain-based tools, and compassionate strategies that create lasting change.
That’s how Wired to Connect was born.
I’ve always been fascinated by the intersection of attachment and brain science—because that’s where the true transformation happens. Understanding how the brain works is powerful, but knowing what the nervous system needs in moments of distress? That’s where calm, connection, and healing begin.
